Privacy Policy

AskClash ("we", "us", "our") is a decision intelligence platform. We provide AI-powered predictions, market analysis, portfolio tracking, and research tools. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we explicitly do not do.
Our Promise
We do not build behavioral profiles. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. We do not use behavioral targeting, retargeting, or persuasion systems. We are a research tool, not an advertising platform.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, Apple, or email, we receive:
- Your name and email address
- Profile picture (Google/Apple only, if available)
- A unique provider ID for authentication
We never receive or store your Google, Apple, or email account password.
Search Queries
When you ask AskClash a question, we store the query text, the mode used (Turbo/Deep/Sports), and the response metadata (timing, model used, question type). This data is used to improve answer quality and track prediction accuracy. Queries are retained for 90 days.
Portfolio Data
If you use the portfolio tracker, we store the assets you add (names, quantities, cost basis). This data is tied to your account and used solely to display your portfolio. We do not analyze your holdings for marketing or advertising purposes.
Wallet Connect (Read-Only)
If you connect a Solana or Ethereum wallet:
- We store your public wallet address only
- We read your on-chain token balances to populate your portfolio
- We never request transaction signing authority
- We never request access to your private keys
- We cannot move, transfer, or spend any tokens in your wallet
- You can disconnect your wallet at any time in Settings
Location Data
We only request your location when you use "near me" queries. Location is used for that single request and is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
Local Storage (Browser Only)
The following is stored in your browser only — not on our servers:
- Theme preference (dark/light)
- Default search mode
- Current session search history (clears on page refresh)
- Conversation context for follow-up questions
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service: Process queries, generate AI predictions, render charts, track portfolios.
- Improve accuracy: Grade sports predictions against real outcomes to calibrate our models.
- Prevent abuse: Rate limiting (20 requests/minute) and automated scraping detection.
- $CLASH holder benefits: If you connect a wallet, we check your $CLASH token balance to apply subscription discounts. We do not use wallet data for any other purpose.
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
- We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or retargeting.
- We do not build behavioral profiles or addiction-risk assessments.
- We do not use persuasion systems, dark patterns, or engagement manipulation.
- We do not share your search queries, portfolio holdings, or wallet data with sportsbooks, brokerages, or data brokers.
- Wallet connections are strictly read-only — we can never initiate transactions.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth / Apple Sign-In: Authentication only. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
- AI Model Providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google): Queries are sent to generate responses. These providers have their own data handling policies. We do not send your name, email, or wallet data to AI providers — only the query text and research context.
5. Data Security
- All traffic encrypted via HTTPS (TLS 1.3)
- Session tokens generated with cryptographically secure random bytes
- Authentication cookies are HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite-protected
- Admin endpoints require authenticated admin sessions
- No plain-text password storage — all auth is via OAuth or magic links
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
- Session tokens: Expire after 30 days, automatically cleaned up.
- Usage logs: Retained up to 90 days, then purged.
- Portfolio data: Retained until you remove items or delete your account.
- Wallet address: Retained until you disconnect in Settings.
- Prediction records: Retained indefinitely for accuracy tracking and public dashboard.
7. Your Rights
- Disconnect wallet: Remove your wallet connection at any time in Settings.
- Clear history: Clear your local search history in Settings → Privacy.
- Withdraw consent: Sign out and stop using the Service at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
AskClash is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
